Tried Stone Christian Center is a church full of people from all walks of life and backgrounds. If you have not yet visited, we would love to meet you! Our Sunday morning service starts at 10am. Nursery & Toddlers (6 months-PreK) are available during the entire service and KIDS church (Kindergarten-5th grade) is available after a time of worship, during the sermon. Adult Sunday School is open to all and meets from 8:30-9:30am in the CE Building.
COVID-19 Information: We are currently meeting in person! While we do not live-stream our services you can always worship with us from our parking lot if you do not feel comfortable coming into the building! Simply pick a spot to park, and tune to 88.7FM. As usual, our Sunday service starts at 10am.
What to Expect
Worship: At TSCC, Praise & Worship is a time of celebration! We celebrate the fact that God is so good, praise Him for what He has done in our lives, and worship Him because of who He is. The act of clapping our hands is a form of praise, which is mentioned frequently in the scriptures (Psalm 47:1; Isaiah 55:12). The act of lifting our hands is a form of praising the Lord; more than fifty times in the Psalms the word Towday or Yadah is translated “Praise” which means to extend the hands in praise (Psalm 63:4, 1 Timothy 2:8). Come and praise our Savior with us each and every Sunday.
Teaching: Sunday morning teachings are fresh and relevant to our lives. We believe “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16). If you have a Bible, please bring it with you. Sermons from previous weeks are available online.
Attire: Tried Stone has a casual atmosphere that welcomes you to “come as you are.” You will find people that are dressed between casual and dressy. We invite you to join us for worship in whatever is most comfortable for you.
Children: We provide nursery care for your little ones 6 months-PreK during the entire service (check-in starts at 9:45am). Children who are in Kindergarten to 5th grade are dismissed after worship to KIDS Church. We have a “cry room” available for mothers to take little’s ones in during service (this room is equipped with speakers to listen to service). Children of all ages are always welcome and encouraged to stay during entire service with their parents, as well, if you would like.
After service:Our Cafe is open the 2nd Sunday of each week with coffee, finger foods, and fellowship. If you are visiting for the first time, we’d love for you to come on by and say hello. This is a great time to meet others. All are welcome and encouraged to stop on by!
Connect with us: Please stop by our “Visitor Table” in the back of our sanctuary for a welcome packet and a small gift! Visitor info cards are available in bulletins (and welcome packets). We’d love for you to fill those out and take to Visitor Table or place in one of our “tithe boxes” as you leave.
Directions to TSCC
From Downtown Blacksburg take North Main Street through town, past Prices Fork Road; continue past Patrick Henry Drive (Food Lion Square), past Mt. Tabor Road and Woodbine Subdivision – the church is beside Woodbine on the right.
From Christiansburg/Radford take 460 Bypass around Blacksburg – at the last Blacksburg exit (North Main Street/Business) turn right. The church is one mile down North Main Street on the left, just past Wyatt Farms.
From Pearisburg/Giles County take 460 West to the first Blacksburg exit (North Main Street/Business) turn left at the “Welcome to Blacksburg” sign. The church is one mile down North Main Street on the left, just past Wyatt Farms.
