Children’s Ministry
Our children’s ministry team* goes out of their way to make sure every child not only learns the importance and practical use of the Bible, but that they also experience the love of Jesus. We want them to leave knowing they are loved and cared for.
The Nursery & Toddler Class (6months-PreK) are available during the entire Sunday morning service. Check-in for these classes starts at 9:45am. We love for our children to be part of worship as well. If you would like to keep them in the service for some or all of worship, please know you are welcome and encouraged to do so. We understand that children learn about the heart of worship by being part of it and desire for them to grow in this way alongside their parents. The Nursery is located in the breezeway and our Toddler Class is in the CE Building. Our toddler class has free play, organized play time, a Bible lesson, and snack time. Feel free to ask an usher or greeter for directions if you need help finding a specific class. Once you sign-in your child(ren), you will be given a pager in case we need to get a hold of you during our service.
KIDS Church is an exciting time for children from Kindergarten to 5th grade. Children have a time of celebration (rejoicing in what God is doing and who He is), prayer, Bible lesson, and activity. We believe that God desires to train up children and teach them His ways, even at a young age. We believe it’s so important for children to learn the Word of God, walk out the Word of God, know the love of the Father, and be encouraged by the leading of the Spirit. Children are dismissed for KIDS Church after worship on Sunday mornings to the CE Building. Parents, please walk children to classroom and sign-in. Once service is over, children must be signed out by a parent.
Parents with young children (who will stay with you), we have a “Cry Room” available for mothers who would like to or need to take little ones for feedings, diaper changes, or to rock. There is a changing table, rocking chairs, and bottled water in this room. You can enter our “Cry Room” by going through the Prayer Room entrance (in the corner of our sanctuary). Changing tables are also available in our Nursery & Toddler Class as well as the Toddler Bathroom in the hallway of our CE Building.
Resources to Use at Home with Children:
- Adventures in Odyssey stories are available to listen to online. These stories are great lessons and wonderful conversion starters for families. Adventures in Odyssey by Focus on the Family
- “The Rizers” playlist has kids songs based solely off scripture. These are great for your little ones to listen to and use the hide scripture in their hearts as they are singing. Click here to check out playlist.
- Saddleback Kids playlist has “Church at Home” options for kids of all ages. A new video is uploaded each week.

At Tried Stone, we believe that no child is too young to start hearing and learning the Word of God. Each week, our hope is for children to be built up and encouraged, learn scripture, the importance and power of prayer, and the love of the Father.
